Careers in the Health and Human Services area are related to people’s needs, desires, welfare and personal safety.   Occupational activities included in this cluster, but not limited to these are:  hospitality and recreation careers, travel agent, public and community service careers, personal services, social worker, police officer, lawyer, teacher, counselor, psychologist, dietetics, pharmacist, doctor of medicine, nurse, medical assistant, transcriptionist, athletic trainer, and personal trainer.  Workers in this cluster enjoy working with people in good health as well as people who are sick, injured or disabled.  They are disciplined and hard-working, able to get along with a variety of people, are patient and polite, have leadership ability, are dependable, are able to find creative solutions to problems, will search for answers to complex medical problems and will keep good records.
